Mayfair, Mooredale’s annual fair that takes over Rosedale Park, has been going on as long as I can remember. The whole community turns out. When Chestnut Park was given the opportunity to step in and support, it was a no brainer.
How has the event brought the community together?
If you live in midtown Toronto, you likely know and love Mayfair. It’s a sea of familiar faces. 1993 Brynn took it extremely seriously, as my children do now – it’s a fun time for everyone. Thankfully I am no longer in my carnival ride era, but wrangling my children and catching up with friends in the Chestnut Park -sponsored Beer Garden just as the weather starts to get glorious is something I look forward to every year.

How do we support the event?
Mooredale, being a non-profit community organization, serves a special role in our community – from the pre-school to the summer camps, to the sports programming – it’s a hub. Supporting Mooredale while having a little fun along the way is exactly what Chestnut Park, equally iconic in the community, should be doing.
What was the most memorable moment?
Last year my now-8 year old son stayed late in the Beer Garden, sitting alone on a speaker, completely mesmerized by the band. Surrounded by friends and colleagues, I realized how special it is to have community – there wasn’t a single part of me that was worried or anxious. It’s a nice feeling that is perhaps a little harder to come by these days. But that’s Mayfair – the kids roam!

The Collingwood Hike and Bike is a 6 km or 20 k hike or bike route. Hikers and Bikers are sent on different loops around the trail system in Collingwood. The goal this year is to raise $175,000. Over the past decade approximately 1,900 patients and their families have been cared for at Campbell House all made possible thanks to the generous support of the community providing exceptional hospice palliative care. With the help of the community, all services are provided free of charge.
NOW ON IT’S 6TH YEAR
This is the first time we have participated in the Grey Bruce Hospice event as a team. Individual colleagues at Chestnut Park have actively participated in both events in the past, and have recently decided to take it a step further by registering our own team.

How has the event brought the community together?
At Chestnut Park, our brokerage is built on a foundation of trust, integrity, knowledge, and discretion. These values aren’t just words—they’re reflected in the way we serve our communities every day. One of the most meaningful examples of this is our support of local Hospice care organizations, which are dedicated to improving quality of life and providing comfort to individuals facing serious illness, particularly those nearing the end of life.

How do we support the event?
The compassion and dedication shown by Hospice staff, volunteers, and the families they support echo the values our agents live by. We are proud to stand alongside them, recognizing that the strength of a community lies in how it cares for its most vulnerable. These shared values form the heart of what Chestnut Park represents.
What was the most memorable moment?
Some of our own agents and their families have personally experienced the vital support that Hospice care provides. The services offered are not only exceptional—they are essential to any compassionate and thriving community. At Chestnut Park, we are proud to stand with our local Hospice care centres, recognizing their critical role in offering dignity, comfort, and care when it is needed most.

Carolyn Scime and Chestnut Park Real Estate sponsor this amazing venue. This sponsorship contributes to prize money, equipment at the park (two jumps) and overall entertainment and competition to both the equestrian and local community. The Chestnut Park / Carolyn Scime Cup runs from August 6-10, 2025.

How has this event brought the community together?
This is a free accessible event open to the public, which is uncommon for a high-level sporting event. Aside from watching equestrian competition, there is also access to food, drinks, coffee stands, shopping, a kids zone and more.
What role did Chestnut Park play in supporting this event? OR what was the result of this event that demonstrates our commitment to community?
The Equestrian community is one that Carolyn is very connected to, both personally and professionally, so it was important for Carolyn to find a way to contribute. As a sponsor to this event each year, Carolyn Scime and Chestnut Park are able to support Angelstone Events in providing the best equestrian competition in the area.

What was the most memorable moment/why was this event fun and meaningful to you?
The most memorable moment was when Chris Kapches, CEO of Chestnut Park Real Estate, came out to our sponsored class in 2024, and joined us in awarding the winners of the class. We all really enjoyed this experience and can’t wait to do it again this year!

We help to provide the financial foundation that ensures the tour can operate at a professional level while keeping participation accessible for artists.

What’s the most memorable moment?
When the Uxbridge Studio Tour participated in the grand opening of our office, it created a magical moment of connection. Their stunning artwork transformed our space into a living gallery that captured the creative spirit of Uxbridge. It was so meaningful to witness out of town visitors engage directly with these remarkable local artists.
We continue to display art from the Uxbridge Studio Tour on an ongoing rotation basis inviting the public to come and visit us and enjoy these beautiful pieces in the gallery type setting of our office. When the art is updated, we use this occasion to do a lovely wine and cheese open house and engage with our community.
This beautiful intersection of art, real estate, and community perfectly embodies our values at Chestnut Park and reinforced why we’re so proud to be part of this wonderfully creative community.
