Explore An Art Gallery

Step out of the sun and into the studio to see some amazing artwork. Artscape Gibraltar Point is home to 15 resident artists and provides studio space for visiting artists. Located steps away from one of the oldest buildings in Toronto, Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, it is also the site of one of the city’s best known ghost stories. Want to find out more? Fun and Games For Kids

Visiting the Toronto Islands is a special treat for young ones, as there are plenty of fun things to do. Centreville Amusement Park on Centre Island is a great place for children under 7, with plenty of rides and attractions to try. This is the perfect spot if Canada’s Wonderland is a bit overwhelming but you still want the carnival style experience. Also located on Centre Island is the William Meany Maze. This head-spinning labyrinth maze will surely keep the kids busy for a good part of the day!


Lounge On A Beautiful Beach

If you’re looking to lay on the beach, you don’t have to go far from the downtown core to do so! It is hard to believe that 3 great beaches are only a short ferry ride away from the city. Hanlan’s Point Beach, Centre Island Beach, and Ward’s Island Beach offer beautiful sandy shores with refreshingly cool waters for all to enjoy. Keep an eye out on how many people board the ferry for an indication on how busy each beach may be!


Get On The Water

If you are looking for an adventure, the Toronto Islands is jam-packed with options for your to explore. Renting a canoe or kayak is a great option if you want to venture on the Harbourfront leisurely. Stand-up paddleboarding is becoming more popular and is now a rental option on the Islands, and you get to enjoy all of the options with a beautiful view of the city! Make sure to wear a life jacket and sunscreen as you explore on the water!


Rent a Bike


Bike Rentals on the Toronto Islands is an extremely popular activity, as they have rentals for tandem bikes as well as bikes for groups of 4. Head over to Centre Island and rent a bicycle to explore the Island, as there is a lot of lands to cover and can get pretty tiring on foot. You and your friends or family can take turns pedalling around and enjoy the beautiful sights. Just remember that the last rental can be an hour before closing!
