Every summer, the Prince Edward County Jazz Festival gathers top talent from local musicians to international stars in one tranquil, wine-country setting. Over the years, this festival has opened the eyes of music lovers across from Ontario as it has grown to be a highly anticipated event. The festival stays true to the county’s roots by featuring some of the most significant landmarks in all of Prince Edward County by featuring performances at The Regent Theatre, Bloomfield Social House, The County Cider Company, and Three Dog Winery. With a schedule spanning from August 13th-18th, this festival is full of performers you won’t want to miss!
Located at the Picton Airport, the True North Beer Festival returns to the county with exclusive beer creations and upbeat music performances. This festival does an admirable job of displaying a wonderful variety by providing over 75 beers. If beer isn’t quite your fancy, there will be cider vendors as well as a dedicated gin bar! The festival will have local food trucks as well as lawn games to enjoy while enjoying a locally crafted beverage.
The beautiful shores of Wellington served as the inspiration for Wellington Water Week, a series of concert performances complemented by activities and unique venues in the county. inspired by the world-famous “Stockholm Water Week”, this festival serves to promote the arts, community, and the locals as we celebrate the natural lakeside environment that makes Prince Edward County unique. Performances and hands-on activities for Wellington Water Week can be found at many of the local county staples such as Midtown Brewing Company, The Drake Devonshire, The Wellington Library, and the Wellington Heritage Museum. Musical performances will be programmed by Johannes Debus, a critically acclaimed musical director for The Canadian Opera Company and Elissa Lee, a renown violinist with Ensemble Made in Canada.
