Huntsville has been named the 7th friendliest town in all of Canada, proving that it is an excellent place to live for people of all ages. Expedia’s second annual report of the friendliest towns in Canada uses criteria to rate the most helpful and welcoming community experiences across the country.
Huntsville is home to beautiful parks, beaches and trails, live entertainment, exhibits and programs for all ages. Located in beautiful cottage country, the town is anchored on the Canadian Shield and sits on a vibrant waterfront. According to the report, friendliness is in the very nature of the town.
There are plenty of events in Huntsville that help connect the community to make it a friendly and tight-knit environment. For example, there are many marathons that take place in Huntsville, such as the Limberlost Challenge, IRONMAN Muskoka and the Muskoka River X Classic, just to name a few.
If marathons are not your thing, you can head down to the Town Dock every Wednesday throughout the summer for Concerts on the Dock, a showcase of live music from local talent. Expedia’s report also notes the popular Dock Fest summer event, which features decorated bathtubs racing through obstacles on the Muskoka River.
Huntsville is a special place to visit or live and it is truly deserving of its 7th place on the list of Canada’s friendliest towns.
