First Annual Summer Memories Photo Contest Winners

Whether it’s a campfire by the lake, playtime at the beach, or your favourite water sport, there are many ways to make summer memories. This contest, Chestnut Park’s first annual, celebrates the favourite ways we enjoy summer in Ontario.

With the chance to be featured in this Cottage Life issue and win great prizes, including a new Canon camera, photos flooded in from all of our Chestnut Park trading areas across the province. We are pleased to share here with our readers the winning photos and honourable mentions.

In first place, winning a new Canon EOS Rebel T7 camera, we are pleased to announce Ken Cheung who stopped roadside to snap a photo inspired by a song on the radio during a summer road trip.

Taking second place and Crows Theatre tickets, Bruce Christie shares memories of childhood friendships and summer barbecues in Prince Edward County.

In third place, winning a gift card to Skiis & Biikes, is Shari Inglehart with memories of campfire nights at the cottage on Wood Lake.

And receiving canvas prints of their photo submissions, we have Andy Nesbitt’s memories of feeding, swimming with, and watching ducklings grow in Minden (fourth place), Michael Bosley’s grandsons ready for water battles at the cottage (fifth place), and Diane Gardisch (sixth place), with a statement that rings true for so many of us – “Life is better at the cottage!”

Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their favourite summer memories with us!
